Meet our Recruiting Officer!

The 17th Connecticut Company H Infantry is currently seeking new recruits. If you live in Central Florida and are interested in participating in Civil War reenacting, we encourage you to contact us. This unit does a Federal impression only. Our schedule of events in Florida runs from September to May, with out-of-state summer events optional. All recruits will begin their service as privates, and work with a veteran reenactor to learn the drills and commands needed to take part in an actual battle scenario. Ideal recruits would be over the age of 18, able to participate at most of the events on our calendar, and strive to continue the level of authenticity set forth by this unit.
